    Episode opens in a cemetery just like the last episode. Buffy is sitting on a tombstone playing with a yo-yo waiting for Stephan to rise because she has a ton of trig homework to do.

    • Angel unintentionally sneaks up on Buffy. He heard that she was out on the hunt.
    • Brief discussion about what it’s like first waking up as a vampire. Talks about it being a little disorienting. Buffy says it is hard to picture Angel going through that.
    • Angel seems a little surprised that Buffy is alone. He mentions that he thought Xander would be there with her.
    • Buffy asks if he is jealous. Angel tries to blow it off calling Xander a kid but obviously there is a little bit of jealousy there.
    • Her comment about Angel being jealous turns the conversation into a fight.
    • Angel says he isn’t jealous, Buffy questions whether vampires get jealous and Angel gets frustrated that with Buffy everything always boils down to him being a vampire.
    • As they argue about all of this, the vampire Stephan rises from his grave.
    • Ms. Summers goes after him and falls into an open grave.
    • But it wasn’t another vampire rising from the grave. Based on the evidence at the scene, someone was drug from his or her grave.

• In the library the next day.
  • When Buffy tells Giles it wasn’t a vampire that someone dug up the grave and removed the body, Giles gets slightly excited. “Grave-robbing, that’s new, interesting.”
  • Xander asks the obvious question, “Why does someone want to dig up graves?”
  • The body belonged to Meredith Todd, she was Buffy and Xander’s age, she doesn’t ring a bell with them.

• So at the Science Fair…
  • Eric and Chris are milling around. Eric is being a creepy stalker taking pictures of all the pretty girls he sees.
  • Chris and Willow are apparently friends and Chris is apparently pretty intelligent. He always places first in the Science Fair with Willow coming in second.
  • Eric continues to take pictures of Cordelia and Buffy, which is very irritating to Cordelia because she is in fluorescent lighting.
  • Buffy has come to get Willow to help the researching of who Meredith Todd is/was.
  • Creepy Eric turns to Chris after Cordelia leaves and says Cordelia would be just perfect for us, Eric says don’t be an idiot, she’s still alive.

• Back in the library Willow doesn’t have much trouble tracking down who Meredith Todd was.
  • Turns out that Meredith Todd went to a different high school, which would explain why the group didn’t recognize the name.
  • Cordelia meanwhile needs Willow’s help with her science fair project. She can’t ask Chris because it brings up painful memories of Daryl.
  • So based on the MO of grave-robbing the group explores the possibility that a voodoo practitioner might be creating a zombie, or zombies. The group is going to investigate whether or not the other girls killed in the same car crash have been dug up.

• In the next scene, while Xander and Giles are digging up graves, Buffy and Willow are having girl-talk.
  • Buffy is talking about how Angel wouldn’t admit to being jealous even though he was acting jealous.
  • The conversation turns to Cordelia and the comments she made earlier about Daryl.
  • Willow explains that Daryl was a big football star, Chris’ older brother but he died.
  • They finally get to the casket and open it.
    • A body would mean flesh-eating demon, no body would mean an army of zombies. Take your pick.
• They open the casket and we don’t get to see whether or not there was a body.

• In the next scene we watch Cordelia leaving cheerleading practice.
  • Angel is looking for Buffy, Cordelia tells him she is at the graveyard.

• In the library later that night, the group is returning from their excavation.
  • They are talking about the fact that there was no body in the casket.
  • When they enter the library to find Cordelia and Angel. Angel is obviously upset that Buffy lied to him about staying home tonight and in fact went to the graveyard.
  • Angle informs them about the girl parts they found in the dumpster. The fact that the bodies are being dug up and parts found in the dumpster has just debunked all of their theories.
  • Some of the parts were missing, they kept some parts.
  • Angel reluctantly agrees to take Cordelia home.

• Later the group is searching the lockers of the people that Willow has identified as potentially having enough knowledge of physiology to cutup the bodies in the way it was done.

• In Chris and Eric’s makeshift laboratory the two of them are working on assembling the perfect girl.

• In the next scene in the school courtyard, we see Giles standing waiting tensely.

• In the biology lab, Willow is trying to figure out how Chris plans to reanimate a body put together with parts.
  • Turns out all the parts from the dead girls included three heads, meaning Chris and Eric aren’t done yet, they still need a head.

• Chris and Eric back in their lab are talking about how they are running out of time. The girl parts they have put together thus far will not last much longer before they start to deteriorate.
  • We see now that Chris has managed to re-animate dead Daryl. I won’t say that he brought him back to life.
  • Eric shows undead Daryl the prospective heads for his Franken-bride
  • Back in the library the group is trying to find out if there have been any recent deaths that would make a likely candidate for a head.

• Buffy goes to Chris’ home to find him, instead she finds his basement. It is then that she discovers Cordelia is the intended target for the head.

• Chris and Eric jump Cordelia before the football game and kidnap her.

• Buffy shows up at the game looking for her.

• Buffy jump-kicks creepy, stalker, psycho Eric and he runs off.

• Cordelia is saved and immediately runs out to the field to lead others in cheers.

• Buffy confronts Chris in the locker room about what he is trying to do.
  • Chris begins to confess about what he is doing and whom he is doing it for.
  • Buffy figures out that it is Daryl.
  • Back in the lab Eric breaks the news to Daryl, he goes into a rage.
  • Eric still wants to go through with the plan.
  • Buffy and Chris go to the basement to find Daryl but he is gone. He left with Eric to get a head.

• At the game, Giles and Ms. Calendar are enjoying the game.
  • And being on their official first date.
  • It should be noted that Ms. Calendar is really kind of taking the initiative with the relationship albeit in its infancy at this point.
  • Willow and Xander meet up with Giles
  • Daryl is lurking under the bleachers watching the game.
  • He sees Cordelia and kidnaps her yet again when she goes to get a drink of water.

• Buffy and Chris show up at the game and realize Cordelia is missing.

• Eric and Daryl proceed to prepare Cordelia for her head transplant.

• The lab is in the old science lab. Buffy tells Chris to find Willow and Xander and bring them. Buffy goes to save Cordelia.

• Buffy shows up to save Cordelia the place catches on fire and undead Daryl gets re-dead.

• The fire department and police show up.
  • Giles apologizes to Ms. Calendar for such a bizarre first date.
  • Cordelia thanks Xander for saving her life.

• Angel and Buffy walking through a cemetery talking about the events of the past few days.
  • Angel admits to being jealous of Xander.
  • Angel is jealous of the way Xander can be a part of so many areas of Buffy’s life that he can’t be a part of.
  • Buffy and Angel walk off into the night together.

• End Episode
