• Watching a bali-wood movie braiding Willow’s hair.
• Buffy is enjoying the hush in Sunnydale
• Elsewhere in Sunnydale at a big mansion style house the frat house.
  • A girl is fleeing for her life from men in dark robes.
  • One of the monk-type guys/frat boys catches the girl and they drag her back to the house.
• Opening credits
• Willow and Buffy talking about Buffy’s  Angel dreams.
  • Talking about the complications of Buffy/Angel
  • Cordelia is dating a frat boy.
• Buffy goes to library
  • Giles is upset with Buffy about slacking off.
  • Giles tries to tell Buffy he understands what its like to be 16.
  • But Buffy doesn’t think he understands everything she is dealing with.
• Buffy rebels a little after school by not going straight to the library.
  • Cordelia is outside meeting her college boyfriend, Richard.
  • He invites her to a party.
• Richard’s friend wants Buffy to come to the party.
  • The friend, Tom Warner, comes on with the charm pretty heavy.
• Training in the library.
  • Giles warns Buffy he is going to attack her and not pull punches.
• In the cemetery on patrol.
  • Buffy finds an ID bracelet.
  • Angel shows up, he smells blood.
  • Angel thinks this could/will end badly.
  • “When I kiss you, you don’t wake up and live happily ever after.”
  • “No when I kiss you I wanna die.”
• Cordelia needs Buffy to go to the party.
• Weird ceremony
  • Machida ceremony.
  • This is a secret society that worships and serves Machida.
• Giles is in the library practicing his sword fighting.
  • The group walks in on him.
• Buffy is intent on having fun at this party.
  • Cordelia is giving Buffy the rules of the party that night.
  • More Cordy/Xander banter, starting to turn into sexual banter.
  • Xander is determined to go to the party to keep an eye on Buffy.
• Frat Party
• Xander gets spotted as a party crasher.
• Research happening in the library.
  • The bracelet is from the Kent prep school.
  • They id the missing girl.
• Buffy drink was spiked
• Giles is going to call Buffy to tell her that they ID’d the missing girl.
  • Willow stops him, Buffy and her mom are sick.
  • There have been others that disappeared.
  • 6 girls almost every year.
• The ceremony begins in the dungeon.
  • Cordelia and Buffy have woken up and are chained to the wall in the dungeon.
  • Turns out Tom is the leader of the group. The worst if you will.
• Angel tells Giles where they originally found the bracelet.
  • It was found near the fraternity house.
  • Willow confesses about Buffy being at a party there.
  • Giles is upset she lied, Angel is upset she had a date.
  • Willow goes off on both of them.
    • Giles is putting too much pressure.
    • Angel is constantly brushing her off. Don’t have time for coffee, your going to live forever.
• More Machida Ceremony
• Giles, Angel, Willow and Xander show up at the frat house.
  • Xander and Angel fight their way towards the dungeon.
  • Buffy breaks free of her chains,
  • She fights the frat bros and Machida.
  • The group goes into the dungeon
  • Buffy stabs Machida with a sword and he dies.
• I told one lie, I had one drink
• Jonathan makes his second appearance as Cordelia’s date at the Bronze.
  • The killing of Machida has caused the fame and power from all of the former frat boys to fail.
  • Angel shows up at the Bronze to “have coffee” with Buffy.
  • Basically asks Buffy out on a date.
  • She does something real annoying, she says I‘ll let you know and leaves.
• End Episode.
• Rate the episode
  • Time to rate this episode – the episode gets a 4.
    • Lose a point for not including Spike and Drusilla in this episode.
    • Lose a point for Buffy killing the end of the episode with her pouting.
    • Gain a point for Willow yelling at Giles and Angel.
    • So on it’s own merits it gets a five but the net score is a four.
