I listened to this podcast over the weekend. Bryan needs to open up and tell us what he really thinks of the episodes. hee hee hee While I'm not a big fan of this episode I don't dislike it as much as Bryan did. There are worse Buffy episodes but not too many. Thanks, Kevin

I liked seeing John Ritter. I agree, Kevin, there are way worse episodes.

I Robot, You Jane is bad but it's the introduction of Jenny Calendar so it has that going for it.
I am not a huge fan of Beer Bad, but there are so many funny lines in that show that it climbs the ranks for me personally.
I agree that neither of those are strong episodes, but for me Ted is still worse... just my opinion.
Still curious what others think, I have a few in mind and I am curious to see if they show up on anyone else's list.

Ted vs. I Robot, You Jane -- that's a tough call. They vie with each other for my least favorite episode. But at least Ted has John Ritter, and it addresses the issue of negative feelings about a divorced parent dating. Hmm. Maybe I Robot is the winner (loser). Not loving Beer Bad, but it has the beginning of the Oz-Veruca stuff, which is at least interesting, and has that good Willow-Parker scene. Lots of people hate Where the Wild Things Are, and it's not so great, but it has some really terrific Spike moments, especially the Spike-Anya interaction. Doublemeat Palace is flawed, but I wouldn't put it in this category. I'm having trouble remembering anything good about Bad Eggs.

I like the part in Bad Eggs when Buffy climbs out of the mommy den. Gross. Plus, it has the Gorch brothers.

@FaithLehane
Here's my defense: Him makes me laugh a lot. The problem with the episode is 1) too much Dawn, and 2) it's a stand alone in season 7, when the viewer is really looking for more story arc and resolution with the characters. The episode suffers from it's placement in the series, but it isn't so bad in and of itself -- in my view.
@smartgirl63
Not that big a fan of the Gorches myself, although I love the name Tector.

I Like 'Ted' & 'Bad Eggs'.......They are fun to watch......I will admit the Giant Bazor was plain wierd.....But ignoring that it was a fairly "average" ep............and 'Ted' has John Ritter who could dislike that ep?? I just can't get on board with 'Him'........To much Dawn wasn't the worst part........the lame groupies......and the fact that they had Buffy ,Willow and Anya acting Out of character was the WORST part.......and the whole ep was because R.J had a Magical Lettermans Jacket........Really??Lol

This is my first post on the HMPC forums.
I happen to think "Ted" is a good episode, not my favorite, but it's a solid S2 episode and I think I'd put it in the top half overall.
Bryan's review was much harder for me to take than the original episode. I disagreed with almost everything he said.
I'm about a year and a half behind you guys, in keeping with my own rewatch schedule. I hope in later podcasts there will be somebody come forward to defend "Ted." If not, maybe I'll have to do it.
I might want to do it in my own podcast, though, which is "Buffy Thoughts" in case you don't know.
Before I go, must mention ... about 10 minutes in, Buffy is playing nursemaid to Angel. This is a significant character development moment for Buffy. You'll notice in S8 there's a reference back to it, remember that panel with Buffy in a nurse's uniform?
