You can spot a brief appearance of Robin Sachs (who played Ethan Rayne) in the first episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day. Interestingly his dialogue could be straight out of Buffy's fourth season  Smiley

I'm only early on in the second season, but I am really looking forward to it. Obviously the people who did Torchwood are Buffy fans, with James Marsters appearing as well and a first season episode which is very similar to Earshot.
