What, no discussion yet? This was the best episode ever...

I always thought Angel was faking the effects of the dart when Dr. Meltzer shoots him. Then again, it was already established in Doppelgangland that you can shoot a vamp with some kind of tranquillizer (when Willow shot VampWillow). But this part of vampire lore seems to be somewhat inconsistent in both shows - how can you smoke but not be able to give CPR? Why does chocking some vamps work? Why does The First try to drown Spike in Season Seven?

And floating eyes? Easy explanation: they're much lighter than the hands, so they can float Tongue

I very nearly started this topic Sunday Wink

I know Tasers cause a person to lose control of their muscles but I'm always amused when it works on Vampires.
'I Fall To Pieces' is one of my least fav Ats episodes...Skip it every rewatch.

Bring On 'Rm W/a Vu' Jane Espensons Ats Debut.
(Though as she admits on the commentary much of it is Joss,to me it still feels like a Jane ep)

For some of the Angel episodes, like this one, this is the second time I have watched them.  Ugh.  D'Hoffryn was a much better character for the same actor.

Sadly I've seen 'IFTP' more than twice.
He was brilliant as D'Hoffryn and even the 40secs on Firefly was better.
He's also enjoyable in his small role on Friends(S9 'TOWTheDonor')

I like Bryan's "pay it forward" idea. I think it would be fun to apply it to other service industries. If the plumber told me that I was not really paying for his services, but "paying it forward" for the next person with a clogged toilet, I think I would feel philanthropic. Same goes with prostitutes.

Colonoscopy procedures should be "pay it forward" as well.

This episode was boring and creepy... just not creepy enough to be interesting.  I thought the portrayal of a stalker was realistic (as could be with a guy whose body parts crawl / float away).

I didn't love the episode (in fact, one of my least favorites of season 1), but I don't hate it nearly as much as everyone else does. I think it's an enjoyable episode and there are many more boring episode in Buffy and Angel. Some of Cordelia and Doyle's lines are so great that it makes up for a lot of the crappy plot. I agree, the plot is stupid and pretty uninteresting. Lots of plot holes in this episode, but I think the connection they were trying to make between the doctor and Angelus was pretty interesting, even if it was not done that well.

I'm not a big fan of this episode either. The one thing that makes me laugh every time is Doyle's "poly malt" comment at the beginning, though. Probably because I'm a Scotch drinker myself.
