In a number of emails I have received and in a few places here in the forums I am hearing a lot of people don't like Riley. I have a feeling I am going to irritate a lot of people when the podcast hits season 4.

It can't be worse than my wife comparing me to Riley.

Any line spoken by Riley's wife. I don't even care to remember her name.
@Beth Her name is Sam And I like her ALOT more than Riley. But it's mostly based on the fact that I <3 Ivana Miličević. As for the Thread I have a new moment I feel the same way Willow does when Buffy keeps calling Willow,Will. When she comes out. I guess it's just an uncomfortableness...more than anything. Anything Oz&Veruca related( I do however like the actress Paige Moss,my problem is the way they wrote Veruca)

The Willow/Kennedy sex scene in Touched sticks out in my mind as incredibly cringe worthy. I don't know why, it just bugs me with the whole tounge peircing thing is supposed to be sexy and all, which maybe it is...I don't know. And I don't understand why we were shown this when we barely got anything but metaphors out of the Tillow relationship. Not that I wanted to see a whole bunch of sex scenes, it just seems...It just bugs me.
The converstaion Buffy has with Willow after Parker blew her off is very...frusterating. Most of the times we see Buffy after the Parker thing I'm forced to roll my eyes, no matter how much I love her. When she says "And why doesn't he want me" I just about scream. And in Beer Bad, I think it is when she's talking about 'bubble Buffy' ...yeah.
The majority of Where the Wild Things Are, or at least the scenes with Buffy and Riley having sex. I just...don't like watching it. I think after awhile we had all gotten the picture, we knew what was going on.

I can't stand watching Veruca. God, she creeps me out with her gazing at Oz and her weird movements. The scene with her singing gives me the creeps. What are the kids calling it these days? Oh, yeah, douche chills.

douche chills!? I've never heard that one, that's hilarious. I have to echo the sentiments about Veruca she creeps me out. The way she treats and talks to Willow also irritates me.

I'm probably one of a dozen Buffy fans that likes Riley, but I guess when I'm a big fan of a show, I don't want to find things to dislike about it. OK, well, Dawn screaming. I hate that.

I heard "douche chill" first on Arrested Development. I love that show. I think one reason I hated Veruca so much was I remember her from 90210.

I first heard douche chills many years ago on Howard Stern.
Re: cringe-worthy moments -- Buffy being fed that pear by Principal Wood. Not sure why, but I find it embarrassing to watch.

Oh Yeah I totally forgot that The whole Date irks me,from the moment he ask buffy to the moment he tells her that Nikki was his mother. I've wondered for afew yrs now If my problem with it is because we know he's lying to her or because Buffy seems happy to date him.

I'm going anything with Glory. I'm not sure who Clare Kramer was sleeping with that got her that part but I couldn't stand watching her.
I hate Giles in season 7, the idea that he would kill Spike with a soul is ludicrous even if you hate Spike he certainly was needed and he did NOT deserve to die!
Okay I'm done with my rant on this.
I also hate Kennedy and Veruca. Yuck!

Giles in season 7, the idea that he would kill Spike with a soul
I have a problem with this too. That he would ally himself with Robin Wood, a relative stranger; that he would outright deceive Buffy; that he would try to destroy someone she's so deeply connected to; that he would try to kill Spike, who despite his vulnerability to the First, had a soul and could be used as a powerful weapon against the First; it all seemed to come out of nowhere. I mean, he's betrayed Buffy in the past, but it seems that they should have moved beyond that at this point in their relationship. Especially when he's all up in her face about being a leader and a general and making decisions for herself. The idea of Giles having paternal jealousy and of Buffy needing to choose between a father/teacher figure vs. a partner is interesting and fit the theme of the episode, but it just wasn't set up properly; and afterward, it was never properly resolved between them. Maybe a function of larger season 7 issues: too much stuff, too many people, being crammed in without time for developing ideas and characters thoroughly.

It also makes no sense when you take into account that Giles basically forgave Angelus quick enough for doing much worst to his girlfriend!
What makes me more upset that it basically ended up making me hate one of my characters.

And the problem is compounded when he sides with everyone in kicking her out of the house and "deposing" her as leader. Another development that's a bit off.
