Too hard to pick just one, so I'm going to name a few, and this is just off the top of my head, so I'm sure there are a lot more I'm forgetting:

Goodbye to You (Tabula Rasa), Out of This World (Dead Things), Stupid Thing (School Hard), Wild Horses (The Prom), My Way (Lovers Walk), Danse Macabre (Hush), all of OMWF.

I'm going to be thinking about this all day.

and Bif Naked's Lucky from 'Harsh Light Of Day'

@FaithLehane

Can't argue with any of your selections; they're all great.

Also thinking about Tales of Brave Ulysses -- Giles playing it for Joyce in Band Candy and listening to it alone after her death in Forever.

This is a fantastic example, love this one. I always thought it was such an interesting tribute...

I have 2:

1. "Ballad for Dead Friends" in The Harvest when all the vamps are walking to The Bronze

2. The lack of music in The Body. That silence is so so so so so so powerful.

Lucky and Goodbye To You were the first ones that popped into my head, but really almost everything mentioned here is a good choice.

Does the use of the Buffy theme song during Buffy/Angel/Zander's hero walk to the school in 'Prophecy Girl' count?

It's incredibly cheesy but it's a fist pump moment for me everytime.

I like the way Buffy whistled "Going Through the Motions," as she left the child welfare office in Gone.
