I never got that either...exactly what is the point of kicking out the only sane slayer?  It didn't seem believable at all.... But I digress actually most of the 2nd part of season seven is cringe worthy to me.

When I first watched Buffy I didn't like Riley or Dawn but both have improved with subsequent viewings

I feel ambivalent toward Dawn and Riley. However, I hate Riley's wife. Because that's our job, like Willow said.

That logic only works if you like Buffy and Riley.  *jk*. You know I was watching Angel last night, and the episode about Doyle's ex wife was on...she is a demonologist named Hari and I thought to myself...if she had been Riley's wife I may not have hated her so much.

I Love Hari....I think Riley would have ruined her for me.


I also love Riley's actual wife Sam.
Riley only started to bug me on rewatch...and seeing as I started my 1st rewatch in 2003,I've disliked him for 8yrs Lol

I like Sam in general, and even more so because her being married to Riley meant that he wouldn't be sticking around.  As You Were is one of my least favorite episodes for a lot of reasons besides Riley's return, though.

The whole Ep "I Robot you Jane" makes me cringe... soooooooooo bad compared to the rest of the Series...
